youth ministry minute - take 7

today I want to talk about NETWORKING.  If you do ministry by yourself… #1) you’ll be very lonely and #2) you’ll probably end up throwing in the towel before long.  The old saying “It’s lonely at the top” is probably one of the most backwards leadership principles ever.  Some of us in youth ministry are privileged to have other staff members to journey with us,  but that is not the case with most youth pastors. Most youth pastors are doing this alone and feel like they are climbing mount everest with a huge backpack and no help.   If that’s you… I’d suggest grabbing a bite to eat with other youth pastors in your town/ city.  just look up churches in your phone book and make the call.  you already have one thing in common… you like being a part of student’s lives.  when you have a solid network of friends… the possibilities are endless.  life wasn’t meant to be done alone… neither was youth ministry.
