TXT – week one talk
here it is.
The Dark Knight_ my review
I want to start off by saying… I am in NO WAY a movie expert or a great movie critic… so if you don’t agree with me… It’s okay. That being said… I LOVED this movie. The one thing I have against this is just a minor thing… I don’t like the voice Bale uses when he is Batman… other than that… this movie was BY FAR the best BATMAN movie EVER MADE. There were so many great one liners and plot turns… it kept you engaged and guessing all the way through it. HEATH LEDGER, IMHO surpassed that of Jack Nicholson as the Joker. I found him to be WAY more believable. There were times when I forgot that he was playing a role and was sucked in to the demented, twisted mind of the Joker. If you haven’t seen this yet… YOU NEED TO. I don’t care if your a BATMAN fan or not. The acting in this movie was AMAZING. I would pay the $8.50 {yup… movies in Kokomo are only $8.50} to go see that again.
Bigstuf rules video for the bus…
for all of you exclusive BLOG people… you get to see the OSM Bigstuf rules video early. This is the video we will use to kick off our 18 hour bus ride to the best week of the summer. ENJOY!
BIGSTUF… it’s just around the corner!
we leave for BIGSTUF camp this friday night @ 8.30pm. It is such an awesome time. We actually take a charter bus for 18 hours through the night and arrive @ panama city beach, Florida on saturday @ around 2pm. If you’ve never been to Bigstuf… then you should totally check it out. It is an amazing week. God moves huge in not only the lives of teenagers, but also in the lives of the leaders that are there. I am looking forward to it. Tonight we have our meeting with our leaders for bigstuf… I can’t believe that I actually have an agenda for the meeting tonight other than “here’s the info and your room list.” It should be a great meeting. check back periodically for BIGSTUF updates!
for the love of the game…
so my son Nicholas LOVES baseball. we play it almost every day. He has a little glove and a ball that he loves to “pitch” to daddy and I’ll hit with a blue plastic bat. It is the best game in town. Anyway… I told him “Nic, let’s watch a baseball game on TV” and he immediately grabbed his glove, ball, and hat and jumped up on the couch and started pounding his fist in his glove and said “YES… BASEBALL GAME… YES!” I love this kid!
Who is Jesus – week 3
here is the transcript for week three of our “who is Jesus” OSM talk. this was the final talk in our series. A lot of the info that we used for this series can be found in this book. here is the transcript:
“here’s your sign…”
i’ve seen some pretty ridiculous signs in my day… so I’m starting a series of posts that have to do with just that… dumb signs. If you have any pics of dumb signs… post back or ping back or whatever the blog terminology is and let’s see who can come up with the most ridiculous sign ever. Here is how I’m starting this whole thing off… I saw this sign in the Indianapolis children’s museum… I’m sure this is a necessary sign… but I found it rather humorous… ”AVOID DEATH.”
