American Idol… vote

American Idol – Simon says

so here’s the deal with American Idol… I don’t think it really matters if you impress Randy Jackson and he becomes your “Dog” or if you move Paula Abdul to a tearful, drunken slur of emotional babel and she stands up and dances to your song… if you don’t win Simon Cowell to your side… your voted off the next night.  I’ve always thought this.  once again… it was proved last night with the ousting of season 7 contestant Jason Castro.  Sure he “hummed” his way through an entire line of his song… but big deal… Brooke unprofessionally stopped her song 2… that’s right, 2 weeks in a row like she was at a family hoe down and didn’t go home until Simon said.  But as soon as Simon said those magical words to Castro “I think you better pack your bags” you should have known that this was the end of the line for him.  It’s like that game… simon says… if simon didn’t say so… you’re out!  I wonder who will fall victim next week?

American Idol…

so I have to admit… I haven’t been watching AI this season @ all.  But I feel that I must to be up to date with what is going on in American culture.  So I “youtube”d all the videos from this season and feel that I have a good sense of how things have been going down and who are my favorites.  Of all the performers left… this guy is, in my humble opinion, the best of them all.  David Cook.  A true genius with music.
